The work to be done under this contract consists of resufacing and related work on I-93 (northbound and southbound) in the Town of Andover and the Town of Methuen. Click this link to view a map of the project limits.

The project consists of:

• Installing siltation fence and hay bales where necessary
• Full width asphalt excavation by cold planer (a.k.a. milling)
• Adjusting and rebuilding drainage structures as needed
• Full width Hot Mix Asphalt Dense Binder course over the cold planed surface
• Placing temporary and permanent pavement markings
• Resetting, removing and discarding granite edging as directed
• Removing, resetting or discarding and replacing highway guardrail as needed
• Upgrading guardrail end treatments to meet NCHRP 35 requirements
• Installing traffic data collection stations
• Full width Hot Mix Asphalt Open Graded Polymer Modified Course
• Placing dense graded crushed stone for shoulders
• Incidental items of work as listed in the contract
