Our Contracting Division, consisting of Southern Nevada Paving and Frehner Construction, offers a combination of construction experience and knowledge that is unparalleled in the industry.

Southern Nevada Paving performs asphalt paving and excavation / earth work primarily within the private and commercial sector. We have worked on many hotel and casino development projects in and around Las Vegas, and are currently performing all grading, excavation and site work on the new Wynn Las Vegas Hotel and Casino. This work includes construction of a 117 foot high “mountain” in front of the complex. In addition, we have also recently performed major contracts at the Mandalay Bay, The Bellagio and Turnberry Place, a new luxury high-rise condominium, and are now starting work on two new casino hotels off the Strip.

In addition to these large scale commercial projects, the contracting division is also working on many other residential and commercial developments and public works projects, including a $14 million expansion of Silverado Ranch Road.

Frehner Construction focuses primarily on the public sector, undertaking large construction jobs within Las Vegas and across Nevada and Utah. Currently, Frehner Construction does more work for the Nevada Department of Transportation (NDOT) than any other contractor.

Over the years, Frehner Construction has continued to grow and build upon its success. It has continually won large and challenging projects due to our ability to move quickly and perform large, out-of-town jobs competitively. Frehner's equipment and plants are portable and can quickly mobilize to efficiently complete projects throughout the company's service area.

Asphalt Paving

Our skilled paving crews are unparalleled in the industry. We operate a number of paving crews simultaneously to meet the year-round needs of our customers’ most demanding paving projects. No job is too small or too large!

The asphalt paving division contracts both public and private work, and operates as either a general contractor or subcontractor. Our paving crews are experienced in all facets of asphalt paving and construction, and are regarded as the most skilled in the area.

Grading / Earth Work / Site Excavation

The earthwork and grading business specialized in excavation and site work, often through to the completion of the finish grading and preparations for asphalt paving. A large fleet of scrapers, dozers, graders, compactors and more than 100 on-road haul trucks are operated in this portion of the business.

We have performed work and are experienced in developing master planned communities, and have also completed site work at many of the hotels and casinos along the Las Vegas Strip.

Trucking

The Trucking division operates a fleet of safety-minded hauling and delivery vehicles. By operating our own fleet of trucks, we are better able to manage the transportation logistics relating to the operations of our asphalt paving crews and excavation / site development projects.
